It's based on Busy Bee, which is similar but with no cash reward for completing tasks. 4 and higher: same as 3 Restarting OpenTTD will overwrite 'commands-out.log'.
#Openttd cargodist plus
3: same as 2 plus monthly saves in autosave. 2: same as 1 plus checking vehicle caches and dumping that too. If you're looking for reasons to force an expansion of your network, the gamescript Bee Rewards give you random quests to complete, similar to subsidies (which don't work when CargoDist is active) but with a cash payment instead of increased revenue. 1: dumping of commands to 'commands-out.log'. I'm sure you could find an explanation by searching TT-Forums if you're interested. It's not impossible - I think Simutrans chooses destinations for all cargos regardless of connections - but there were reasons for this decision which I'm not fully aware of. I understand that CargoDist was the last of several attempted projects to give cargos destinations, and CargoD est was an unfinished attempt at what you describe. D won't be considered since there's no station there. If passenger trains run A-B and a coal train runs B-C, passengers will not want to go to C, since they have no way of getting there. CargoDist only considers stations which can be reached by the cargo in question, from the station in question. In OpenTTD cargodist, people go without purpose to different. Link graph overlays over main viewport and smallmap overlay.png (80.04 KiB) Viewed 60814 times Station GUI with routing information station-gui.png (55.Unfortunately not. If Devs had choose the OpenTTD solution, the whole city-builder aspect of WRSR will fall apart. Convince people to publicly play network games and show to the devs that Cargodist really is stable and ready for trunk inclusion (or fix any bugs showing up in that process). This is the direct cause of the long delay between changes in the game and reactions in the routing scheme. Right now the time reserved for the link graph calculation is based on a worst case scenario and thus very long.

#Openttd cargodist how to
If you like to discuss how to play with cargodist and what strategies to apply and so on, please do that in this thread: I'll examine and fix the problem as soon as possible. The same goes for any non-crashing unexpected behavior or anything you think might be a bug. If you experience a crash please go ahead and post a report, including crash.log, crash.sav, crash.png and crash.dmp (if available) in this thread.

for the last year, Sum trains' profit 376,664 Train running costs -382926 Train income 277,360. Downloading a bundle from there is probably the fastest way to get started with cargodist. BUT logically, the sum of all the individual trains' profits should equal the difference between the finance report's train income and costs, for the same time period. The openttd compile farm creates binaries for various platforms from the "cd" branch every night and stores them at. This is the one change in version 12 that has by far caused the most questions everywhere, so let’s talk a bit more about it, and show some. It was implemented in pull request 8688, for those who want to see the development history. It is equivalent to the openttd source package, but has cargodist included.Ĭode: Select all git clone git:///ulfhermann/openttd.git In OpenTTD version 12, we changed rail signals building UI only shows the Path Signal types by default.

You can also download a source package from and directly compile that without patching.
#Openttd cargodist Patch
You can always find the current trunk revision the patch is meant to be applied to by looking at the topmost commit at. If you don't want to use git you can get a diff between trunk and cd at this URL. Have a look at to see the individual milestones which have been reached.
#Openttd cargodist code
You can get the code from my github repository at. Basically cargodist does what I envisioned when I started it and now I'm only tweaking some things to integrate it more nicely with the rest of the game.

Here you'll only get some status information on the progress for the different mile stones. I have moved the main description of cargodist into the wiki, see. This means it includes what others call "load balancing". So, this is the (n+1)th attempt to provide passenger and cargo with destinations and then getting them there using the existing transport links as efficiently as possible.
